From The Vault

This week's featured book:

Autumn Rains
by Myra Johnson

Heartsong Presents #873
ISBN: 9781602606265

Healy knows all about prisons, both the physical one he's been released from and the emotional one he keeps himself trapped in. Valerie is caught up in post-traumatic stress disorder. Shadowy moments from a night she can't fully remember bombard her without warning, keeping her trapped between the painful past and a future that seems hopeless. But God promises to repay the years that have been lost; for those who trust in Him, He promises refreshing, life-giving rain. Will Val and Healy trust to see God's perfect plan, or will they choose the chains that hold them back?

  1. i live in Tucson, and we are having winter rains, which is unusual for us. Yesterday was cold, but most of you would laugh at my use of that word. I actually wore a coat outside. It was rainy, overcast, windy and in the mid 50's. Well for us, that's as wintery as it gets, and I love it when it happens.

  2. Well, it's in the low 20's here in South Dakota today. Yesterday though never made it past the teens. We have over 40 inches of snow on the ground and the wind never seems to stop blowing, so we have drifts to scoop daily. AND more snow and wind are forecast for this weekend.

    But spring will come, right?

  3. I hope you're right, Rose! I am so ready for spring! Actually, I'd really like to just move on ahead to summer! Where I live in Oklahoma, we woke up to a dusting of ice crystals on the ground, but it's already above freezing so it shouldn't last long.

  4. I live in Greenbelt Maryland, right outside of Washington DC and we've just had 2 blizzards, back to back. It's the worst snow I've seen in Maryland in my entire life! My job has been shut down since last Friday, I've been off for five consecutive days, and as long as I've been working, that's longest I've ever had my place of business to shut down because of inclement weather!! Hubby and I just finished shoveling the driveway...again! But it's nice to stay inside over these blessed days off and spend quality time with family!

  5. We got another foot of snow this past week. :) I do find my eyes thirsting for something green, to see the trees leafed out and supple instead of stark and frozen.

  6. In the twenties during the day. In Arkansas. With a couple of inches of snow left from the four we got Sunday night. This is the second snowman worthy snow this year. In Arkansas. It was pretty and fun the first time, but this southern girl is sick of it now.

I know there are several feet of snow up North and I shouldn't complain. But lack of snow is one of the things I love about Arkansas.

It is pretty cold here in mid-Mississippi and the forecast is for snow tonight, which is not that common, especially since we have already had one snow this year. Although to many of you, our forecast for 2-3 inches is nothing compared to what you are dealing with. However, at heart I still have a lot of the Tennessee mountain boy in me who loves winter, snow, and cold, so bring it on for me! I probably wouldn't be saying that with the amount some of you are getting, but in the deep South I take what I can get!

  8. Thankfully no rain here in my part of Georgia today! I live south of Atlanta and we've had SO much rain this past month. Now the weather report is calling for snow tomorrow--which is always a really BIG DEAL for us!! :)

  9. Here where I am at in Cincinnati, it is cold and we have snow. But, compared to other places that are getting pummeled with snow, we only have maybe 6 inches (but I'm not a good judge so I could be wrong.) We did get 1/2 a snow day on Tues. and a whole snow day on Wednesday at the college I am attending. It made me excited because I was home schooled so I never got snow days. :)
