From The Vault

This week's book from the vault is

A Girl Like That by Francis Devine

Katie O'Shannon is excited to finally be in Chicago, working with her father in show business. And when she's given the opportunity to perform on stage herself, she's sure her dreams are coming true. But then God awakens her to the plight of the immigrants, and she realizes the spotlight may not bring her what she truly seeks. When Katie meets Sam Nelson, sparks fly. But as Chicago ignites around them, will they turn to God for guidance or will their dreams - and love - burn to ashes?

  1. Spring seems just around the corner, it's been nice and warm lately, the daffodils are coming up, and there is snow forecast for the weekend. Sounds about like March.

  3. It has been very nice here this week, but according to the weather channel it is supposed to cool down over the weekend. I don't know if you could say that spring is quite here yet.

  4. What a lovely book, please enter me!

Spring is trying to get going around here. The tulips are pushing out of the ground, but not bloomed. The weather was beautiful yesterday, but promising to be cold again today. So, we will see. :)

  5. I've seen two robins, so that's a sure sign of spring!

  6. I found some iris spears poking up through the mulch and mud. Hope they survive the weekend snow. :)

  7. Yes, spring has sprung around this area! It's nice after having over 30 inches of snow over a month ago! I see my tulips peeking up out of the ground! They should be blooming soon! I also hear those birds singing when I awaken in the morning!

  8. Yes! Here in my area of Georgia we've got daffodils blooming, and also some of the trees and the forsythia ("yellow bells") are blooming - - so pretty! Our temperatures have warmed up too, but I'm enjoying some coolness before our summer HEAT arrives! :)
    Blessings, Patti Jo
