Promise of Tomorrow by Sandra Moore

This week's feature author is S. Dionne Moore. She's making her first appearance here at Heartsong Connection with her historical Heartsong, Promise of Tomorrow.

HP #912
Historical
ISBN #9781602609051

From the back cover:

Alaina Morrison loves Jack Kelly. So why won't he realize that all she wants is to get married and begin their new life together? She doesn't need a large home or new clothes or other things. She only needs him to actually spend time with her and to show how much he loves her. As dangerous floodwaters threaten their home of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, will Alaina and Jack allow God to bridge their growing differences with His unifying love?

Solomon 8:7 7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

A little about the author:

The view from S. Dionne's home.
S. Dionne Moore is a multi-published author of both cozy mystery and historical romance. Her second LaTisha Barnhart cozy, Polly Dent Loses Grip, is a finalist for the Carol Awards. The Malti-poo in question. :)
The question of the day: We're gearing up here to get back into the school year. Do you have any end-of-summer flings planned?

  1. Hey, Sandra, good to see you here! 2 Carol finalists both published in the same month with Heartsong. Go Heartsong! The Johnstown flood is a fascinating backdrop for a story.

End of summer flings? Does going shopping with my grandchildren yesterday count? I had a blast shopping for everyone from my picky 14 year old to the unborn grandson.

  2. I haven't read anything by this author, but she seems so sweet (and fun!) based off of her posts and comments on "The Borrowed Book" blog. :) Promise of Tomorrow looks like a good read!

As for end-of-summer flings, I'm having an "End of Summer Bash," actually, on my blog in a couple of weeks (starting August 23). There should be some fun author interviews and giveaway(s), so everyone is welcome to stop by! :D

  3. My end of summer fling is taking my daughter to college...sigh...but in September, my husband and son and I are headed to Indianapolis, then home via Chicago where we will hit some of the museums. :)

  4. Oh, Erica--my mom is in the same boat, too! I'm off for college in a few weeks, and my mom is going to drive me there. It will be so hard to say goodbye to my family again!

I hope you and your daughter get to keep in touch a lot. I love sending and receiving snail mail, and I talked to my family on the phone quite often when I was away last year. :)

Hope the transition goes as smoothly as possible for you!
