Though her mouth remained neutral, the smile behind her eyes told him she was pleased at this compliment. "We work as a team around here. I can;t take all the credit"

When she didn't respond but instead turned her attention to clicking keys on the computer, shutting down the driving software, he chuckled and looked down at the floor, feeling heat in his neck. He wanted to give credit where credit was due, encouraged an employee who needed it, but this felt more like.
...No!

Elizabeth Goddard is a seventh generation Texans who recently spent five years in beautiful Southern Oregon, which serves as the setting for some of her novels. This sounds like an interesting story! I've never thought about the people who design fountains. That would be an interesting occupation.

Wow! A fountain designer. Talk about a unique occupation and career. Definitely piques the interest, and I LOVE the cover.
ReplyDeleteAs for a challenging situation, I'd say when I was an event coordinator for a local organization, I constantly ran into issues where my professional skills were challenged. But when I encountered opposition from a woman who had always seen it done a certain way, my personal skills were at stake. I prayed hard for God to help me hold my tongue and attempted to shower the woman with grace.
And instead of being frazzled by her, I set her objections aside and focused on my work. Eventually, she eased off a bit, but despite the success of the event, she still had negative mutterings to issue. Some people just can't be pleased.
